Wet on skin, it's a gorgeous smooth and rich amber, very resinous. It feels ancient, mysterious and deep. I haven't tried other Dinos, but I'd guess this is the base they all have in common. Once it dries, the myrrh shows up. It's powdery in a good way, and it's light and sweet. It seems to be floating on top of the richer amber. Both main groups of notes (the ambers and the myrrhs) take turns on the spotlight, but neither of them ever overpowers the other, you can always detect the "background" note lurking about. It has good throw (but not so much that you'll overwhelm people around you with your perfume) and lasting power .

Mine has aged for about a year, and it has become more interesting than when I first received it. There are little bits of resin floating in the bottom of my vial, and not only does it look really pretty when you mix it, it also makes the scent deeper and richer.

OH WOW! This is a GORGEOUS smokey copal. I'm going to compare it to the ICONS III Copal as a point of reference. It is different than the ICONS III Copal, Which of course they would be, ICONS III Copal is a sweeter fabulous pure deep woody oudh copal and Dino's have the amazing Dino limestone amber base. With Cam I do get the bright frankincense and ambers up front initially while wet, but as it dries down it really deepens and the copal blooms. I love the blend of copal in Cam. I totally get there is more than one type of copal in this blend. I think the Dino amber base really makes the copal shine. I just put some on again, but yesterday I really noticed how smokey it got as it dried down, not an acrid smoke, but an enchanting cloud. I definitely get the smoldering embers too, kind of like Ember Vanilla has at it's core. OOHH! Yes, this would be beautiful layered with your favorite SL Vanilla. However, I think I may be a purist with when it comes to Cam. It's just so perfect to me. Copal is one of my favorite notes and I rarely see it used in scents so I was ecstatic when I saw the notes for the first time. Cam is definitely a euphoria inducing, spiritual perfume for me. Seriously though, if you like copal definitely give this one a try. Hmm, Do I have enough of this?! I also want to add that it did have great silage and staying power. I put it on my wrist and I kept getting puffs of gorgeous copal hours after I applied it and even through testing a few other perfumes.
